prediction and planning in Markov decision processes; applications to vision, robotics, speech, and natural language processing.

Winter Quarter 2008 (2 units)
A course to develop writing skills for work in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and related areas of computer science. Most classes will take the form of writer's workshops, with students receiving detailed feedback on their rough drafts.
