Abstract
We introduce a framework for the study of sensor evolution in a continuous 2-dimensional virtual world (XRaptor) populated by agents with Braitenberg vehicle-like capabilities. The agents have a fixed or varying number of ``eyes'' as sensors and are controlled by simple neural networks. Results of runs evolving characteristics of sensors and networks are presented.
