Policies

• Please post course-related questions on the Web-based message board, or ask in discussion section or office hours. For issues of a specifically personal nature, such as if you can't come to office hours and need to schedule a meeting with me, you may e-mail dana-mmw(at)ucsd.edu. Please do not send e-mail for general questions about the course or subject matter; post those to the message board. Any question is fair game in person.
• As mentioned in the course syllabus, 10% of your grade is based on attendance and participation in discussion section.
• Attendance (5% overall): Simply, be present and on time. More than one unexcused absence will adversely affect your grade, as will chronically arriving more than 5 minutes late. Program policy dictates that four or more unexcused absences from discussion section will result in automatic failure.
• Participation (5% overall): Do readings and homework assigned in section by the deadline; participate in discussion.
