CSE142 - Advanced Digital Logic Design
Units: 4
Course Objectives: This course gives an introduction to advanced techniques for logic design. Computer aided design tools will be used for the experiments.
Course Description: Digital logic optimization; functional decomposition and symmetric functions; reliable design and fault diagnosis; structure of sequential machines; asynchronous circuit design. Assignments using logic synthesis tools.
Format: 3 hours of lecture per week, 1 hour discussion section per week, 4 hours of computer lab, and 4 hours of preparation. Majors only.
Prerequisites: CSE 140, CSE 140L
