Not Your Father's Visualization

Scientific Visualization creates cute little pictures to ...
Yeah, yeah.  We already know that.  But, things have changed.
Much of the old "common knowledge" about visualization is
no longer the case.  We are no longer bound by image-only,
visual-only, flat screened, Euclidian geometry visualization
output.  The new visualization rule is that there *are* no rules.
Anything that moves information from the brain of a computer
into the brain of a human is fair game.

This talk will discuss some of these new aspects of scientific
visualization research and how they are changing the nature
of the human-computer scientific interface.  Lots of examples
will be shown.
